On Monday, August 22, 2016, the management team from MY Shower Door and D3 Glass announced plans to construct a 55,000 square foot state-of-the art headquarters and manufacturing facility on Domestic Avenue in Fort Myers, Florida. Governor Rick Scott was on hand to help make the announcement. Touting the job growth in the state, Governor Scott
discussed the fact that over 26,000 new Florida jobs were created in July alone. MY Shower Door/D3 Glass are part of that growth, having expanded their retail showrooms in the region, as well as the hiring of more associates for their manufacturing facility. MY Shower Door was
recently ranked #2,400 on the highly coveted Inc. Magazine’s “Top 5,000 Fastest Growing Businesses in the United States”. The company employs over 70 people and has retail showrooms in Naples, Fort Myers, Sarasota, Tampa, St. Petersburg and very soon Orlando. This is the second
time the company has been on the list. The two-story facility will include super flat concrete slab flooring, overhead crane equipment, a tempering line, glass production and fabrication areas, distribution and internal drive thru loading docks, offices and a retail showroom. Chris-Tel Construction was chosen as the Construction Manager, Studio A.D. Architect, Albert
Dambrose and Kyle Kitchens, will design the facility and David Douglas Associates, Inc. will provide civil engineering and site development services for the new facility. Construction is set to begin in the third quarter of 2016 and will be completed by 2018.
