EHC, Inc., a construction company that provides pre-construction, earthwork and infrastructure services, is proud to be providing site construction services for the new Somero Enterprises, Inc. Global Headquarters and Training Facility with Chris-Tel Construction. Development began in October on the headquarters, located in the Southwest International Commerce Park in Fort Myers.
Somero is a leading manufacturer of technologically advanced concrete placing equipment and associated machinery. The company’s new headquarters will feature executive offices and a training facility with an equipment warehouse, a classroom and an outside break room. In addition, there will be covered parking, employee areas and a training ground. The building will be approximately 14,000 sq. ft. and will also include the Somero Concrete College that will allow customers to train on machines in concrete.
The Somero headquarters is EHC’s first project with Chris-Tel, a general contracting company based in Southwest Florida. Chris-Tel is building the new facility and selected EHC for earthwork, grading, import fill, concrete paving, underground utilities, striping, and traffic signage.
“We are excited to have our first opportunity to work with Chris-Tel,” said EHC Vice President Tony Hamilton. “We have admired their work as a successful local construction company and their growing presence building and renovating landmark projects in this area.”
EHC currently has 13 active projects from Charlotte County to Collier County spanning the real estate and government industries. Many of the projects are multi-million, multi-phased projects and include Somero Enterprises in Fort Myers, Tuscany Pointe in Naples, Orange Blossom Ranch in Naples, Oak Hammock in Punta Gorda, The Coves at Estero Bay in Fort Myers, Kalea Bay in Naples, the Hertz Worldwide Headquarters Campus in Estero, Naples Square in Naples, U.S. Route 41 and CR 951 intersection in Naples, Caloosahatchee Bridge at I-75 in Fort Myers, 1-75 improvements in Charlotte County, Eastport Water Reclamation Facility in Punta Gorda, Lindsford in Fort Myers, and Twin Eagles in Naples.
Founded by native Southwest Floridians in March of 1990, EHC has grown from two employees working out of an on-site trailer to over 70 employees, a corporate office, a fleet of equipment and a network of partners. The site construction company started with one project for one client in Naples. Over the past 25 years, EHC has completed hundreds of projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars for a vast number of municipalities, developers, builders, owners and general contractors.
The company attributes its success to continually finding efficiencies, ability to make quick changes, adapting to change and above all – its people. EHC prides itself on a reputation of fostering long-lasting relationships and providing valuable services with a professional, reliable and qualified team.
