Chris-Tel Construction was selected to provide Construction Manager at Risk services for the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Myers.

The Broadway Apartments was a two-story, 40-unit abandoned multi-family complex chosen by the Southwest Florida Affordable Housing Choice Foundation, Inc. as part of a neighborhood stabilization project.

The scope of work included site development and parking lot improvements, interior demolition and construction, architectural elements similar to the surrounding neighborhood, interior and exterior finishes for each unit to include a photovoltaic solar water heating system, high efficiency HVAC, low volume plumbing and high performance windows, energy star appliances and covered entryways. The project was awarded a LEED© Platinum Certification for Homes—the 1st ever in Florida as well as the 2012 Summit Award for Best LEED Certified Project Improvement/Renovations from the Lee Building Industry Association.
