Chris-Tel Construction was selected to provide Construction Manager at Risk services to DeSoto Memorial Hospital for the renovation and relocation of the pharmacy located on the second floor of the hospital.

Originally built in 1965, then expanded in 1983, the pharmacy relocation and renovation was completed in order to provide additional services to the DeSoto County community.

The new pharmacy area allows for the department to house a larger host of supplies in a clean, open space for the ever-evolving world of medicine. Major components included two chemical hoods (one for hazardous materials) within an airtight Ante Room, multiple workstations, provisions for multiple refrigerated storage areas, a staff lounge, locker room and offices.

The scope of work also included demolition, asbestos abatement, removal of walls, flooring, ceiling, complete MEP renovation and relocation as well as installation of new systems, and partitions. The renovation was completed in six months, allowing for the facility to utilize their newly equipped pharmacy. The project is AHCA certified by the Agency for Health Care Administration.
