Fort Myers Technical College is a 30-acre campus located in the heart of Fort Myers that provides students with career and technical training.

Chris-Tel Construction, through a complete campus renovation project, was happy to aid in furthering the mission of the College which is to provide high quality career and technical training to prepare students for current and emerging industries.

Chris-Tel was selected to provide construction management services for the School District of Lee County for the complete campus renovation designed to upgrade the College’s facilities to meet current and future technical college demands.

The project, which began in mid-2022, consisted of two main components; interior renovations and re-roof. The re-roof consisted of 11 buildings on the campus, totaling approximately 192,000 square feet.

Interior renovations were completed on several buildings throughout the campus to better accommodate the College’s current educational programs and address future needs. The renovated buildings included welding, major appliances, electrical, plumbing, automotive service repairs, cosmetology, and drafting classrooms.

The project was completed ahead of schedule and $1.5M under budget. The Fort Myers Technical College faculty and students are now enjoying the newly renovated campus and facilities.
